Awareness & education
For healthcare professionals & educators.
Awareness saves futures. Too many people experience delays in diagnosis, misdiagnosis or a lack of understanding about the long-term impact of CES. Early recognition can be life-changing.
Educating healthcare professionals
Healthcare professionals are often the first point of contact for people experiencing CES symptoms. We support ongoing education and awareness across all areas of healthcare, including:
- General Practitioners (GPs)
- Emergency Department staff
- NHS 111 clinicians
- Physiotherapists
- Chiropractors and osteopaths
- Nurses and nurse practitioners
- Paramedics
- Occupational therapists
- Rehabilitation teams
- Pain management services
- Medical students and trainee clinicians
Supporting healthcare students
Today’s students are tomorrow’s healthcare professionals. By sharing real patient experiences alongside clinical information, we help students develop a deeper understanding of life with CES and the importance of early recognition. We’re developing initiatives specifically for:
- Medical students
- Nursing students
- Physiotherapy students
- Occupational therapy students
- Paramedic students
- Allied Health Professional students
Working with universities
We’re actively seeking partnerships with universities, colleges and healthcare training providers across the UK. Our vision includes:
- Guest speaker sessions delivered by people with lived experience
- Educational workshops and awareness presentations
- Student learning resources and case studies
- Inclusion of CES awareness within healthcare curricula
- Research collaborations
- Placement and volunteering opportunities
Partnering with hospitals & NHS trusts
We aim to collaborate with NHS Trusts, hospitals, spinal centres and rehabilitation services to promote awareness and improve patient education. Potential projects include:
- Patient information leaflets
- Waiting-room awareness materials
- Staff education sessions
- Awareness campaigns during national health events
- Patient experience projects
- Educational webinars and workshops
- Collaborative research and service-improvement initiatives
